Because... I love the theatre.
I love the theatre. So much so I have a theatre bucket list... Yeah, it's that serious.

Since 2017 is the year of my 30th life celebration, as usual, I'm taking over the whole month!
The only thing I really wanted to do was see Deborah Cox in the touring Broadway production of The Bodygaurd, which just so happens to be this weekend! Not only did my amazing husband get us tickets, he also threw me a surprise party. *Insert mushy-ness here*
Earlier this summer, we went to see the touring production of The Lion King in Houston (which was Ah-MAZ-ING). Since it was during the day, and we were traveling to see it, I opted for a simple and comfortable, but appropriate, ankle length black dress and a denim jacket.
Guys, I haven't forgotten about you. Notice my husband is wearing a button down with jeans. Totally appropriate for day time shows.

The time of day seems to determine what you wear. If you're unsure, business casual is always the best way to go any time of the day.If it's during the day, casual is fine. If the performance is later in the evening, try a cocktail dress.
Keep in mind you're going to be in a theater, so it may be a bit chilly. Bring a jacket just in case.
