I love my hair, truly. But Roxanne (that's my hair's name) can be a bit greedy when it comes to hair products.
Roxanne is thicker-than-a-snicker and needs constant hydration, which is why I prefer using drugstore products over natural hair products. Since the seasons are changing, that means my natural hair care products are too.
Here are my best of the best, top 5 under $5: Holy Grail Drugstore Products for Natural Hair.

Suave Clarifying Shampoo $1.68
It's so important to clarify your hair at least once a month to get your scalp squeaky clean. Suave's Clarifying shampoo gets the job done and does it well for less than two dollars. I appreciate that it takes me half a year to use up the bottle, too.Suave Almond + Shea Butter Shampoo & Condition $4.98
I count these as 1 item because it came in a set, which is a steal at $2.49 a piece. I recently decided to give this line a try after using up the Suave Moroccan Infusion Shine set (which is a good choice as well), and am pleasantly surprised. The Almond and Shea Butter made the cut because this stuff has my hair so hydrated I could use it alone.Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioning Treatment $2.97
I don't know how I missed this, but I'm so glad I found it! Aussie's 3 minute deep conditioner is so good, that I want to try their whole line! I've been using it in combination with the previously mentioned Suave products for the past 3 weeks and am surprised at how long it's lasted. Considering the bottle is so small, it packs a powerful punch.Fruit of the Earth Aloe Vera Gel $3.97
An oldie, but goodie. It's a great alternative to EcoStyler gel and a fraction of the cost. Not to mention you can use it on sun burns (which came in handy this summer).Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Intensely Smooth Conditioning Cream $3.42
I began using this product years ago as a moisturizer when I would straighten my hair. Now, I'm revisiting it for my curls and Roxanne can't get enough. Check out these curls!Sharing is caring, list your favorite hair care products.
