It's been way too long since I've done anything beauty related, but mom life has been consuming a bulk of my time lately. It seems it's a common thing among mothers and if you follow me on Instagram (if you don't, you should), you know we've been having a blast. Now that my little one is becoming more independent and has a longer nap time, I feel it's time to give a little bit of my time back to myself.
I noticed a few months ago that I really haven't changed my makeup routine in a few years and was looking for a few easy, subtle ways to add something different when I was sent the Maybelline Great Lash VoxBox compliments of Influenster. In addition to the Great Lash Royal Blue mascara, I was also sent the Maybelline New York Unstoppable Eyeliner in Onyx
Let me begin by saying when it comes to drugstore products, I am a Maybelline fan girl... especially when it comes to their mascaras.With that in mind, I prefer their Colossal Volum' Express Mascaras, which are volume, volume and MORE VOLUME, so the Great Lash line is a huge difference. It took me a few days to come around, but I really do love the subtle blue hue which add a little emphasis to the eyes. It also adds a bit of length in a natural way and has become my go-to mascara during the week when I'm in #TeachMamaBear mode.
When it comes to eyeliners, I usually prefer liquid liners because of the fluidity, but I am definitely converting to Maybelline's Unstoppable Eyeliner! I couldn't believe how smooth it went on and how long it lasts. It twists up and is also self sharpening. It costs around $6 and it's totally worth it. I have been pairing it with the Great Lash Royal Blue Mascara for the past week and am loving the results-especially since I don't wear eyeshadow during the week.
